Crotchulla Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Well about a month or two ago I decided I would bend the Bastard bar, but no luck. I started using only 7" stock and it helped a lot but I injured myself. Hungry for a PR I went for the short stuff last week since I'm healed pretty good now and my 7" form is shot. I started with some hex/stainless 1/4" x 6" as a warm up which went well. I've only bent the 7" stuff and it was easy, but the 6" loaded up a lot more at the 90 degree mark. Then I shot straight for the 5" 1/4 crs that I've gotten to 90 about 5 times. I switched to leather on short stuff, and it really makes a difference with no slipping and all. So I smoked that without any trouble, woo hoo. I got the 5" 60d nail, pretty easy too. Then for my last bend of the night, I crumpled up a 4.5 x 1/4 crs which totally blows me away. I had so much trouble with 5 " a couple months ago, but I toasted a shorter length and I'm really happy. Now I'm going to cut down all my stock to 5.5" and less so to up the force required and maybe I'll try the bastard again in a morth or so. jaccord Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Sound like you're making good progress. Keep with it, and you'll get that bastard! Quote
Tim71 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Nice Job! Yeah you'll get the bastard. The latest batch of bastards is significantly easier than a new red nail. Way to go on the shorter stuff. Tim Quote
Wes Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Good stuff man Quote There is a natural order. The way things are meant to be. An order that says the good guys always win, that you die when it's your time or when you have it coming, that the ending is always happy-if only for someone else.
GatorGrip Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Great work and achievments there my fellow Floridian. I knew you had it in you and now using the suede leather you see its benefit of less slipping of the bar and more comfortable adding to the force you can exert for longer periods. Keep it up my friend you are doing great -- Keep us posted on your progress. Quote SOME OLD SOME NEW CHECK IT OUT! http://www.youtube.com/user/strongmanfeats
