Blob Training Idea I Thought Up

Recommended Posts

Something I did for blob training was to drag it across the plywood lifting platform in my backyardand try and lift up. It will kind of "float"across most of the time and I've been trying to think of how to add resistance and it came to me. Add an incline- Put a 1x12 or something on the ground and drag the blob across it so it barely touches it, when that becomes easy, put something under one end of the board (mabye a 1/4 to 1/2'' at first) and pull up and drag it across the board up the incline. Just keep jacking up one end of the board until you are strong enough to DL it

There is a natural order. The way things are meant to be. An order that says the good guys always win, that you die when it's your time or when you have it coming, that the ending is always happy-if only for someone else.

good idea wes but you can allready lift the blob :whistel the best i've seen on the board is a bounce and hold from the bed

JUST BECAUSE ITS NOT ALIVE * DOESN'T MEAN ITS DEAD

Hehe Dan, I can play with a Blob 50 but not my York :D That York is a mutant, never done any better than a few inches off the ground

A big exercise ball really worked for me. Pulling the blob off the ball. Initially I couldnt get it completely off the ball, but after a couple workouts I could pull it a few inches off the ball before I fully pulled it.

That's a technique David demonstrates in his pinch DVD, so I reckon it'll work.

The DVD is excellent. It should be on top of everyone's TV.

Awaiting reprisal.

Thank you.

Yes, it's a very good technique that definitely works.

We use a piece of old Formica board.

David,

I recall you having this idea as an article in your former "Iron Grip" magazine about 3 years or so ago.

I liked the Iron Grip mags, anyway, a bit too much work right now.

You can also use this method for training whatever pinch, such as 2 x 45's or whatever.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. I started out bouncing blocks off a stiff couch cushion. The JS bands works awesome, I'll have to give the "slope" method and fitness ball go.
