judoboy Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 (edited) suprise bend after hard kettlebell session, my hands were pretty tired, but i felt good so i quickly wrapped in im pads and gave it some. it took me around 2 mins to do and alot of that was on the kink, once i started it was curtains. i think the nails i did yesterday were actually 20d. this was much harder, but fun. abit of rest now before next bending/wrist work. http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?automod...si&img=5529 Edited April 4, 2007 by judoboy Quote Regards, Anthony http://www.armageddonarmwrestling.com/ http://m.youtube.com/user/armageddonarm http://m.youtube.com/user/midlandsmilitia
Alawadhi Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Are you sure it's 40d? I think it's 60d but hey pictures can't say everything. Quote Read about me in my biography. bencrush Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Solid bend man! The 40Ds since they're 5" always look thicker than they are to me...just an optical illusion I guess. Quote
judoboy Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 thanks gator, read that a few places today. in terms of dia, i think that 40d is just under 1/4" and 60d is just over. I found a very thin 60d(6") than is like the white nail. So is that weak nail called 60d because it's s weak i guess 60d should be called for something that is 1/4? Again I guess, I am not sure. Tim71 Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 40ds can vary alot. I have some that are actually pretty tough; tougher than an easy 60d. Very respectable bend there! Tim Quote
judoboy Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 thanks again for the kind words guys. these dull 40d's are a good step forward for me. i also have some bright 60d's which look superior quality, im guessing they will be tough. after some rest, i will do some more 40d's and have a go at 7"x1/4" crs. ObsceneJester Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Great Bend on that 40D.. Pretty soon you should have that 60D no problem Quote Name: Rob H
dimmers Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Well done mate! good bend, i'm sure you'll do fine on those bright 60D nails. If they're bought in the UK then in my experience i've found them to be slightly easier than fbbc 1/4" stock (at the same length). It's all to do with metric measures here in the uk, as the 6mm bright nails i started on are slightly under 1/4" width. Good luck in your training and don't forget the ISO and flexiblity work. Quote
