Tim71 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Pretty much what the title says. And for that matter does anybody know where to find some? I've been hitting the spikes lately and man they tear the leather wraps up when you get into the tougher spikes plus I've had a spike point poke through my wraps and almost cause a bad mishap. I've heard people mention using it but I don't know where to find it. Tim Quote
jaccord Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Never tried Kevlar myself. Only leather and cordura. Not sure where to even get Kevlar. I'd be interested to try it though. Quote
dimmers Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Could this be what you're looking for? You could make a lot of wraps from all those gloves? http://cgi.ebay.com/12-pair-Kevlar-cut-res...1QQcmdZViewItem Quote
sixlitre Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I use kevlar gloves at work. They would probably work best if you wrapped leather around them. Just a thought though. They sure are tough Quote 2007 Grip Goals Pinch 3-25's the 200 lb Anvil Close my #3 for 8 VBar 400 DO DL 550 Dave Juma Mr. MAX-OUT
DAN PRAYDIS Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 ebay has it do a search under Kevlar fabric Quote JUST BECAUSE ITS NOT ALIVE * DOESN'T MEAN ITS DEAD
gaster Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Someone had this idea a while ago, found a source, and sold it here. I bought some, but it's not very good. It's too slippery and made to stop bullets not sharp objects. Think really slippery IM pads that have edges that keep coming apart. It was a nice idea but just didn't work out very well. Quote
