Increasing closure of gripper

Hey guys and gals, I been playing w/ my grippers for a few months and I've been stuck at 1/3 of an in. on my SOSII, but Thurs. night after a good workout at my JKDC class that involved a lot of grappling (no Gi) I got the f@#$%^ down to around a 1/4 in. When I tried the IM #3 I got it to around a 1/2 in. I'm gonna try the grippers ( 3X singles) after every workout (kettlebells and Martial Arts) and see how that works out.  I may even start training Grippers more seriously  to get COC #3 certified (one can hope :)  )

P.S.  Sybersnott, As a COC I'm sure you'll enjoy bottoms-up Kettlebell cleans, the best I could manage on my PDA KBs was 40 lbs. Try them you'll love them ;)

First of all, Im not an expert on griptraining...

But I think that doing negatives with a tougher gripper can be a good way. I did forced reps with my #2 to get my #1. And that worked for me. So if your goal is the SOSII, you should train with the #3.

It doesn't hurt trying...

spy,

Thanks for the tip on the kettlebells.  I'll give it a try!  :)
