Alawadhi Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 (edited) Today (about 45 minutes ago) I bent two 1/4*7" FBBC Square . Like what guru20 said "The kink was by far the hardest part, after that it was pie". To be honest after the kink it was easeir than a FBBC g8 bolt. Is this normal or do I have a weak FBBC square? Alawadhi Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 One more question. If it was a normal steel (not a weak square I mean). Then am I near to the Red Dragon? climber511 Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Very nice! The jump to the Red is very close now. moser1972 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 ......... Then am I near to the Red Dragon? YES, you are very close. Nice bend Alawadhi! Congratulations! Quote
antarath Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) Congrats!! I love those squares, but I find em lightyears away from the Red. I'm just talking about my experience. I've bent several 5" FBBC squares in a row, still can't move the Red. But listen to the others! They are more experienced than I am Anyway, try the shorter ones! They feel like knives through your wraps. Wonder how your IM pads are gonna look afterwards hehe Edited December 30, 2006 by Mats Erik Quote Real name: Mats Erik Engelsvoll
gazza Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Alawadhi Dont cut down the fbbc squares you will only lose the feel for the RED which is 7" instead get some 1/16",1/8",3/16" etc and tape them to the 7"fbbc squares once you are hitting the square plus a 3/16" taped together in under one minute the reds should be toast. Also start tapeing 1/8" crs to 7"reds and prekink them varying degees and work on explosively crushing them down then about a month before you intend to cert just train exclusively on 7"reds and practise solely with the ironmind wraps and good luck. David Horne Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Great ideas Gazza. I've noted this. David Quote
gazza Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 David With me i was never good on 6.5"-7" when training 6"and under so i had to try other things but the short stuff realy does work the crush as the poundage to bend it goes way up. I think DO 7"stock is alot more technique prone than DU or Reverse for 7"stock. Quote "There he goes. One of gods own prototypes.
