I got the new 2006 version of the 1 1.5 2 2.5 and 3 and 3.5

my old #1 2 and 3 never squeaked not even out of the package, I've bought about 6 grippers in the last month, and every single one of them squeak I am not calling coc out on anything, just wondering why this is such a big coincidence, and what can I do to get them to stop squeaking cause its actually interfering with the final close, because the spring is basically vibrating

Everyone of my grippers(12 of em) have squeeked. Its metal on metal its going to happen. I think your new grippers just need to break in a bit. My 2.5 doesn't feel smooth at all especially at the last 1/4 because it doesn't even have 10 closes on it yet. Use some WD-40 to stop the squeeking it has worked wonders for me.

Goals:

To be stronger then I was last week.

I don't mean to be condescending(which means to talk down to)..........

Just apply a little 3 in 1 oil or WD40 to the gripper springs once in awhile. The squeaking is normal. The new shiny springs from IM will actually rust if you don't keep them oiled. It doesn't hurt the function at all. If it really matters to you IM does sell Sentry Tuff cloths you can used to protect the polished metal.

You don't get a dog and do the barking yourself.

None of my grippers squeaked until I had closed them 20 or 30 times.

Agree, WD-40 all the way, did wonders for me, made a huge difference.

All my GR8 CoC grippers squeaked out of the package, I tried oil and they still squeaked. Eventually they stopped after they broke in.
