superfeemiman Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Does anyone do these? I've tried them a few times and I definitely notice how my pinky and ring finger work harder and are more sore afterwards. Do you think these could be useful for building pinky/ring strength? I normally do inverted closes using just my ring and pinky fingers. These fingers lack in strength and i find these very useful for bringing the strength up. Quote real name: Sam Solomi

Yeah, I forgot to mention whether they were inverted or regular, but it doesn't matter. I'm glad you can attest to there effectiveness though. I know you can use blockweights to bring these up in the same way (using just your ring and/or pinky finger), but I only have one really small 20 lb. blockweight (from a 40 lb. hex), so I don't use them that often. One thing though: Isn't it kind of hard to set the gripper right in inverted closes? CoC#3 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 One thing though: Isn't it kind of hard to set the gripper right in inverted closes? Not at all. To set inverted grippers just give it a little squeeze with the other hand near the top of the gripper. You can't get much leverage like this though so you can never do a deep set inverted close.
