steelhmr Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 i bent the elusive 1/4"x7" HRS from Lowes. just a small simple change in technique and it went down quite convincingly (and 1/8" off center to boot). what can i say, this stuff works. Quote
Tim71 Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Way to go. The HRS from lowes is tougher than regular hot rolled from a steel supplier in my experience. Bends a little more like cold rolled. On the flip side though, the cold-rolled at lowes is much easier than true cold-rolled from a steel suplier. If you have a steel suplier around you, go and get some 1018 cold-rolled steel, it will be much cheaper and a decent step up in difficulty. Keep at it! Tim Quote
bencrush Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Great bend David! On to the 1/4"X7" CRS now. Quote
