Is The Ivanko Super Gripper Devil's Advocate Worthit

I was considering buying the ivanko super gripper devil's advocate and wanted to know if it was a lot better product than the ivanko super gripper in terms of feeling like a gripper? with the super gripper i have trouble closing the last 1/8 inch due to the fact that you have to close the super gripper a little more. The spread from handle to handle with a hg gripper closed is around 1 3/4 in, the spread with the super gripper is 1.5 in so it is kind of like you have to overcrush the super gripper to close it shut. Any critiques would be helpful. i don't want to spend a 110 bucks for nothing lol.

Done

HG 300 128 pounds of pressure closed 12/29/06

COC 2 117 pounds closed no set in 02/07

Goals

Just get a normal Ivanko Super Gripper, way cheaper that the hyped up version.

Do better than last time

Just get a normal ISG and if you want you can always dict tape the crap out of the handle to made it thicker and more like a gripper.

You would experience the same kind of "problem" with the Devil's Advocate. However, I consider that to be an advantage, not a problem.

I have the Devil's Advocate and I think it's great. Knurled handles are good. I don't think many guys who say "just get the standard ISG" have actually tried them both. DA does feel more like a TSG gripper, but of course it still isn't the same thing. I did get the regular ISG along with the DA so I could compare them. I don't regret my purchase of the DA. BUT I will not tell you, which one to buy. You would have to get a chance to try the DA and THEN decide. If you are on a budget, settle for regular ISG. It's a good training tool as well.

I have had both, and I must say the ISGDA is much better to grip than the ISG even when the latter has some duct tape on it.

The knurling could be a tad sharper, but I'm satisfied with the DA. IF I had a standard ISG I don't think it would get as much use as the DA (because of the feel and the total investment), yet either model could compliment your training given you actually use it.

Just fyi, on my ISG I took a computer mouse pad, the rubber sponge material, cut it up & taped it with bottom side facing out on finger side. This is a pretty good grip, better than only duct tape, I imagine.

I agree with Teemu i have a ISGDA which replaced my regular super gripper it feels more like a TSG and will really benefit in helping to close heavier TSG
