Tim71 Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Hey guys look at the pic I just uploaded in my gallery. It's a 70d size I found in a bin of nails at a discount building supply store. It's 7" long and almost 5/16 in diameter. What's weird is they're so precisely made. The point is round like a pencil and the head is perfectly shaped and centered and there's no excess seams left over. It's not as long as the tent spikes like this. It's very shiny almost like chrome plated and looks like it would have been an expensive nail but I don't know why anyone would make a nail like this. I'd love to have a quantity of these. I dug through the rest of the nail bins to no avail. Anybody ever seen anything like this? Tim I just looked at the pic and it's not as skinny as it appears. It's just so shiny that the edges reflected light. It's almost 5/16". Tim Quote
Tim71 Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 I've shown this nail to maintenance workers, hardware store owners, construction guys and everybody in between and all I've got is guesses but nobody has seen one like it. My dad is traveling to another town tomorrow and they have another one of these stores there so he is going to look but I'm not holding out much hope. Tim Quote

bencrush Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Strange looking nail Tim. Nice find though. I have no idea what it is. Quote
