Trevor111 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I finally got my IM 2.5 in the mail yesterday and was like a giddy school boy to open it. i go tit open and did a fewe reps on my #1 and put a light effort on the #2 then went for the #2.5 ALMOST got it. about a quarter inch from closing it. i am real happy because i have been having a hard time getting to the #3 and now i think i can make it there. Alawadhi Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Congrats! Keep doing negatives with your 2.5 and it will be history in no time. Quote Read about me in my biography. BIKERICH Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 IM did a great job with the 2.5! pretty much on the money. slightly easier than my BBSM.you will close that sucker in no time! Quote Richie Citron "You gotta do what you gotta do"
apttdwler Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 My 2.5 is about the same as my double stamped 2. But I do think it is about a 2.5 based on a few other 2,s I have. How would the BBSM and BBGM rate? I'm looking for something a bit harder.... Quote http://www.geocities.com/fightraining http://fightraining.blogspot.com/

GoJu Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 You mean MY BBSM LOL! To anybody who has it, how does the 2.5 compare the RB240N, I imagine it has a harder sweep but how's the close? Quote
Mlstrass Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 I can't close either yet, so not sure how accurate my rating is. Got my 2.5 yesterday and got it down to 3/16" and I can get my SM down to 1/4" on a good day, so they're pretty close I'm guessing. Still seems like the #3 is light years away. Will be using the 1.5 for strapholds. VERY nice grippers as usual from IM.... Quote
heatwave13 Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 (edited) Today, I recieved my Iron mind 2.5 coc and my IMTUG #5. I went through a thorough workout utilizing each of these tools. I can easily close the TUG 5 with my index and middle fingers, however, my ring and pinkie fingers are still lagging and could not close it. So, this appears to be a challenge for doing individual finger work. I also worked on "pinch" gripping the TUG 5 and it was very tough; plenty of room to grow with this particular gripper. The 2.5 is also very tough for me. I can comfortably close the #2 (notice I didn't say easy!) but am still quite a way from the #3. After I warmed up, I gave the 2.5 a few hard squeezes for singles and came about 0.75" away from closing it, so......there is some room to grow into this gripper as well. Hopefully I can slam it by this upcoming spring. So, for me, a solid #2 closer who is still a ways from the #3, the IMTUG #5 and the COC 2.5 seem to be about right. I cannot quite close it, but I can see daylight at the end of the #2.5 road. Something to think about for you others who are between the 2 and 3. chop163 Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 LOL! To anybody who has it, how does the 2.5 compare the RB240N, I imagine it has a harder sweep but how's the close? Like I've mentioned before, my 240N's a brick and nearly as hard as my #3 (at the very least a 2.8 from the feel of assisted closes) and my #2.5 feels about 2.5. The sweep on the 240N is quite easy, but it stacks up once past parallel, the #2.5 is smooth all the way through. Quote Crushing is my business, and business is good.
Yersinia Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 got my grippers today. brought the 2.5 to work . did negatives with it all day . and when i came home i repped my #2 easier than ever =D Quote Goals! : Dominate the #2.5 and BBSM Done!
Trevor111 Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 i am happy i bought the 2.5 i would have bought another gripper otherwise to go for the in between. i can now CRUSH the #2 handles 3 times. i love it! the #3 is still about 1 inch away, but the #2.5 is under a quarter inch now! loving this. i was at a bit of a stagnant point in grip training but i just ploweed through and am happy that i did.
