GNC is using a photo of the three of us doing the first lift in their stores this year as part of a display. We actually did the lift a couple of times - the display I have seen has Karl and Brad reversed in position. This was done at the end of a heavy training session and photo shoot. Karl was the only one that could manage the double inch at the time the cameras were out. We all have done this as well.

Thanks for the insight, Wade! How serious are your brothers about grip training? Did they have to train for beeing able to lift the inch or were they just strong enough to lift it from regular (powerlifting/strongman) training? Are they able to lift the Blob too?

One of those guys actually looks like he could do a farmer walk with the Inch's if he trained a bit for it. At least a short walk?

That's awesome to have that kind of support. No one in my family, or even anyone I know cares too much about grip or weight lifting.

Middle finger lift 200lbs

Those were great vids. Strong family. I liked how Karl was gonna set down the Inch but stopped as he was setting it down to lift it up again then dropping it. showing crazy dominance of the Inch.

I have farmer's walked the Inch DB's about 20 feet. When we shot the video that was the first time Karl ever lifted both or even tried to lift both. Brad can lift both and probably farmer's them but has never taken a step. Of the 3 of us Brad is the best with the Inch. Brad trains by doing what I used to do - workout then try to test your grip every so often - maybe 1 - 2 times a week. He will lift the Inch, Blob, close the 3, pinch 2-45's, and do some forearm work with the formulator. No real structured grip training. Karl trains strongman heavy so it always working his grip. Ocasionally he does Rolling Thunder and Grippers, but again, no structured training.

Do YOU have a structured training program nowdays?

It would be cool to see some more video of You and Your brothers doing some freaky things with the Inch and the blob! Not that I don't believe it but it's always great to see InchDBs lifted - especially in a farmerwalk!

SICK videos dudes, awesome stuff.

Can anyone post a link to Wade's domination of 2 45s pinch? I really want to see this vid again but can't find it anywhere!

I do but it changes regularly. I will say I am not much stronger if any now that I have a structured program than when I used to just do grip tricks from time to time. I feel like static grip strength is best trained heavy and that was basically what I always did. Grip training for dynamic grip is a different story. You need to train lighter with more reps - not always maxing.
