Jack Thicke
Fellow Crushers- My name is Kevin Chabot, from Orlando, Florida. 32 yrs old, 6'1" 235 lbs. I am an ex-professional baseball player with a great interest in improving grip strength to hit more homeruns in my 28-up hardball league. The #1 and #2 arrived in the mail a couple of days ago, and I was able to close them both. The #3 was ordered today, and my goal is to crush it by this time next year. I enjoyed reading a few posts from some former Big 10 conference players. I played in the SEC for the Auburn Tigers, and I hope I'm not the only aspiring gripster from the Plains! I would love to hear any baseball/bat speed specific grip info anyone may have!

Vice
I would also suggest that you add "levering" to your routine. This will strengthen your wrists like nothing else and should help increase bat speed even more than grippers will. I would think overhead and rear levers would help the most but I could be wrong. All you need is a sledgehammer. Edited August 22, 2006 by Vice
Florian Kellersmann
I would add some pronation and supination work.
JoeGrip
I remember somthing on functionalhandstrength.com that said John Wood sold the boston red sox formulators and grippers the post season before they won the title. Sledge work gripper work thick wrist roller load that bat up w/ ring weights and do it Indian club style
