gripuru
Which is the feat of strength (grip, weightlifting, powerlifting, etc) you have done you are most proud of? My vote is for my 20lb free hand lever

John Beatty
it would be a tie between my 600 lb. deadlift and my #3 close. interesting. I would rate your deadlift much higher. I wouldn't, but I can pull 600 for 8 reps & I can't close a #3.....

Ivarboneless
Well I can't really rate which one I am most proud of, but the ones I show off the most would be..... 8 consecutive freestanding handstand pushups 1 full range (chest to table) freestanding handstand pushup And the one I like to boast about the most....... Beating the 180lb football/wrestling hotshot at armwrestling at 132lbs bodyweight (this was street armwrestling).
John Beatty
As far as what I'm most proud of, tough to say. Pulling 605 for 8 reps in front of my dad was pretty high up, winning the tire flip medley at the 2004 Snowman (2 flips each 800lb, 1180lb, 1350lb). Flipping 3 cars in 24 seconds at the 2000 Strongman Nats (despite the fact I only got 11th place on that event). One of the most fun was after closing once when I bartended, we had a little soda gun waterfight that escalated to throwing pitchers of icewater & then outside to garder hoses & buckets (T.K. Wendl's where I worked was a big sports complex with 3 softball diamonds, so there was a lot of room). One of the girls had hit me with a nice cold pitcher of ice & water after I'd warned her she'd lose if she did. She did it anyway & I picked her up inside the bar, threw her up on one shoulder, then walked out of the bar, out to the softball diamonds, completely around the diamond to the pond out back & threw her in. A good 600-700 feet with a squirming 5'10" 150lb girl on one shoulder.

Rick Walker
Not my greatest feats by far, but I would have to say deadlifting 641 at the ADAU meet, only because my parents were both there and my dad was so damn proud, mom said he was talking about it for weeks afterwards. Also, we cut down some trees back in June and I carried these huge chunks on my shoulder for him from across the road to his wood pile out back. It was neat for me because he never could have moved them on his own-it would have taken him a couple days of hooking each of them to the tractor and dragging them. He just watched in awe and shook his head as I carried each piece to the pile for him. When I was 14, I carried a water logged rail road tie out of my late grandfather's yard after a flood. Looking back, it probably only weighed 200 or so, but my grandad was talking about it to everyone up until he passed away. I will never foget his voice as he was yelling to my grandma, "Mother! Mother! Come here and see what this boy is doing! You won't believe it!"
viper
erm..i dont really have any massive strength feats so far, i need a little more time, but i have done some decent strength/power endurance feats - couldnt really say which is better, either 23 wrist hold chins, 23 one arm push ups, 35 one legged full squats, or 32 reps on #2 Edited August 12, 2006 by viper

apm
For me, it'd probably be my card tearing and horseshoe bending...working on my short bending. I've tried to post my pics but the message comes back the image is too large, not sure how to make them smaller. Anyway, all these were done with Bicycle cards: torn two corners off, double horizontal tear, torn wrapped in duct tape, torn in hand cuffs, torn in oven mitts and ripped mini deck with just my thumb and forefinger. Shoes: #4 into a heart, 5/16 X 7/8 open to 80 degrees. Hope to be doing better stuff in the near future. Matt Brouse
Push-started a school bus. Attaboy! This thread is a couple years to early. Yeah. I would say either 405lbs Bottom Position Squat or pulling a semi for the first time standing straight up, hard.

When he was in high school he was 150 lbs give or take, and he'd beat these huge 6'3" 280 lb guys at arm wrestling all the time.
foggymountainmuscle
A flagpole. Not the wrap your arms around a pole flagepole, but and arms fully extended legs straight out and a 90 degree angle from the pole, flagpole. Lifting a 100 some pound girl off the floor on a plateform with my jaw by a leather strap is up there too.
t-wehner
not too many, chinups (palms facing me), full range, dead hang, 3sets of 3 reps with 120lbs DB strapped to me, at a bodyweight of 175.
Slider454
I would have to put me closing my new #3..bending 4 reds in 1 day in front of my Dad, Wife, and co workers...Tearing a deck and half of cards at a party....exploding 7 cans of old beer at a party (man did that catch some eyes) and rolling up a frying pan.
