Ripe1
Hello everyone! I hope Teemu I doesn't mind me posting this. Yesterday Teemu officially closed IM#3 by the new rules. After that he apparently set the new Finnish record on the Rolling Thunder. Here are the results in Finnish but those shouldn't be too difficult to understand. Finnish grip board Congratulations man!! Onnittelut!

Timmy
I hope nobody else certs from now til the end of the year, because I don't want the rule to change, to no-set, before I apply for a cert.

Bill Piche
Congrats! Hey, they used to have a picture requirement with the gripper close. Do they still have that? Since the gripper is now out of the package, I assume you have to get a good still shot right then and there during the cert?
Teemu I
Honestly, I don't know about the picture. There were plenty of cameras on the scene, I don't know yet what kind of pictures or video clips they got. I just did how I was told to do, guy who organizes grip competitions here, Kimmo Kokko, said that it should all be OK. We'll see..if it all isn't ok with IM, I'll do that again and as many times as it requires. I just try not to think about the rules, as we all know how they are these days.. Bill Piche
3 . You’ll need to provide two photos; they can be color or black and white:a. A photo (at least waist up) of yourself. b. A photo of you closing the No. 3 or 4 Captains of Crush gripper according to the Rules for Closing; the photo must show your hand closing the gripper, with the ends of the handles in plain view, so we can clearly see the No. 3 or No. 4 stamped on the bottom; the handles must be touching. This is from IronMind's web site. So, I guess we can assume just any #3 can be used for the picture? Given the gripper is now pulled from the package (was this the case on this cert?), I would think this rule is now obsolete?? Again, SUPER job on this cert!! Teemu I
I'm totally honest here: no, it was not a gripper that was pulled out of the package, but it was not my own either. It's a gripper that this man who is a grip comp organizer here handed me, it's his gripper that he uses for certification purposes only, so it wasn't seasoned either, as there haven't been much guys trying to close it.. It had a rusty spring actually, making it harder than two #3's that I just recently ordered from IM and left unoiled. My cert close wasn't a strong close, I just barely got it even though I felt really strong that day. It was definetely harder #3 than the ones that I have. So, we'll just wait and see.. Thanks! RT as a cool down.. just killed my right forearm, it hasn't been this sore for a long time. Probably because I haven't trained that specifically, yet. I'll start working on that later.
