I think this is a totally stupid question but i want to know if doing strict leverage to nose and back is the best way to be strong at playing mercy?

I used to be pretty good at mercy. Pain tolerance is a big part.

Lol, I feel like an ass for saying this, but rotational wrist strength is more important. :cool

I've never been beaten at mercy, (first played it in 2nd grade) its such a fun game...I love it when kids refuse to give up, then they just get their fingers broken...

starting from the top strong wrists arms and delts pushing down his arms taking him to the outside like an iron cross dumbell flys dumbell bench helps curl his hands to the bottom and curl him up picking his feet off the ground curls hammercurls i dont think sledge to the nose will help to much and if you try to specialize in one strength you wont be good at mercy :tongue

I always won at this, despite average hand size, probably just because I actually lifted (from an early teen) and always included crush (ISG) and wrist curls from the start. So I had that small strength advantage over the generally "untrained" people who challenged me (despite them usually being much larger).

But I haven't done it since getting bitten by the grip bug, and was quite weak, grip-wise, back then compared to my current standards. So I have wondered if things might get interesting if I were to play this game now...?

We, in the UK call it "Peanuts", amongst other things. it's where you and your opponent face each other and interlock fingers, usually overhead, and try and force each other to their knees, or give up by shouting Mercy, or Peanuts.

who ever can curl a forty five pound plate will win mercy. small hands or not

Nick McKinless should be very good playing mercy, he could plate curl 20kg and he is GREAT at levering too
