Chrisx9118
Dont do negs with a #4 or you will break your hand off. Stick to the #3 for now until you get your BBSM and then do negs with that until you can close it and then use your #3.
Sybersnott
I would tell you to completely master your #2 gripper first, and then move on to the #3.

It would be a goal to focus on doing 1 forced rep on your thigh with your #4 - during off-traing. Ideally, try to assisted ranges on your #3 using your other hand to force it in. It's better this way, because doing against your thigh prohibits your crush. Edited July 23, 2006 by Timmy

Sybersnott
Try this... this may sound VERY insane, but this is what I do - you could try the same thing: Set your #2 and close it AND THEN HOLD IT CLOSED FOR AS LONG AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN! Your fingers will scream out, YOU will scream out, fight it for as long as you can -- and then when you absolutely positively can't stand it anymore -- let go and release. Don't forget to do the same thing with your other hand. Now give it a few minutes to let the blood back into your fingers and then do it all over again! Do about 2 or 3 of these and then you're done. Shoot for a time as long as possible - at least 10 to 20 seconds or longer per close and make damn sure you're pinning it shut, i.e. OVERCRUSH (that's what you're going after, isn't it?) I do this right before I hit the sack 3 times a week; makes me feel damn strong that I'm closing (killing) the #3 right before I do some rounds with da sandman!!! kelby
you know i used to use the number ones, for training, all i did was strap holds. before i tried the two i shutted for a rep. then i started doing strap holds. over crushing with the one. trying to gring the shit out of the handles. i got up to six reps on the two. then i started training with the three, and i started losing my crushing grip. now i am down to two to three rep on my two. i just started doing strap holds again two days ago. and my hands feel sore and good. i think negatives with threes are over rated, while strap holds are underrated along with overcrushing. good advice crush the shit out of your two. i think you will get to the three faster. and train your wrists. i honestly think that you can get the three just by training with the number one and using strap holds. hell if you can strap hold a 25 pounder using a piece of steel with a rope and weights at the end you can still close the threes. that is my experiment now. So many options.as is always said....find what works for "you" and stay with it.Warren Tetting also spoke highly of strapholds and is sending me one of his metal ones. thanks for sharing your experiences, Richie

Sybersnott
Yeah, close the crap outta your #2.... you should completely OWN it; being able to close it and grind the handles if you wanted to - ANYTIME day or night - in fact, wake up at 4 a.m., take your #2, kill it closed with either hand, and then go back to bed! Then you can tell anybody in your dreams that you can KILL the #2 gripper anytime you want!!
BIKERICH
Hey John, i'm gonna grind the crap outta the #2 until the handles turn into the elements of the periodic table
rying
Hey John, i'm gonna grind the crap outta the #2 until the handles turn into the elements of the periodic table The handles are made of aluminum, which is already an element on the periodic table.
