Dirk Schenker Inch Dl

Today Florian and I were hanging around with armwrestling buddy Dirk Schenker during a little armwrestling contest. On the parking lot at the competition location Dirk gave the Inch a try, his first contact with this infamous grip item. He lifted it two times with absolutely amazing ease - no tilt. He is the first German that lifted the Inch to a full deadlift I guess.

Perhaps the best Inch lift I have seen. I am not surprised though as this lift in particular should suit armwrestlers considering their wrist strength.

When Arne Persson and I have tested the grip strength of bodybuilders and powerlifters they typically also do best in thickbar lifting.

Great lift, but better than Sward's double inch farmer's walk?

Didn't Hermann Goerner lift the Inch? If so, it would make HIM the 1st German to do so....

Burkhard not to take anything away from Dirk but has Heinz Ollech(spelling)not tried the inch.

Heinz told me that he tried the Inch and he can't lift it to a full deadlift - only to mid shin.

Thanks for the reply and as i said not taking anything away from Dirks fantastic lift,it just surprises me that he is the 1st German with a full deadlift of the inch as there are a lot of big strong Germans not only in Strongman comps, but in track and field etc.

This is a very worthy feat anyway but to be the 1st in your country adds extra cudos :bow

Yes, I think the main problem is that there are only a few Inch DBs available in Germany.

Back at home and back in the gripboard... The two lifts of Dirk were a grip highlight for me. An awesome display of hand and forearm strength :bow :bow :bow

The selfconfidence of my Inch DB is broken now - it sits in my training room and does not make any faces on me now! :tongue

Insane, i half expected him to start curling it........

Yes, indeed. Next time he will try to curl it! He is quite confident that he can do it.

On my search for Inch lifters I had the chance to watch this last night:

very light person action - read the video description!

This is Matthias Schlitte. He's a beast, you know it, when you shake his paw :whacked

His hand-forearm-torso combinaton is more than unbelieveable... :online

Burkhard, did you notice in your research how many have lifted the Inch who weigh less than the DB itself?
