sideburns
Hey guys...was just wondering if you could help me out a little... My finger kinda hurts....you know when you crack it and it hurts sometimes...like when it's cold or something...feels kinda ilke that...but doesn't go away... I think I did it tearing cards....I think it's the way I hold them...so I'm gonna stop doing that for a while... But, is there any "therapy" I can do to make my finger feel better? Thanks a lot! Oh and is there anythign I should be doing after a grip workout different than a normal workout?
BIKERICH
You didnt mention which finger and if its joint pain, which one or if the pain is on the underside of the finger, etc. could be just soreness without soft tissue damage or a collateral ligament injury from twisting or a vular plate injury.what are the symtoms?is it swollen, discolored, etc.
makey98
I would try contrast baths. I did this while on KTA2 and it really makes your hands feel great even after destroying them and is great for injury relief. The hot water brings blood flow to the hands and the cold water reduces swelling and inflammation. Alternate putting your hands in hot water (as hot as you can stand) and then cold water ( about 10 ice cubes) don't make it too cold....always end with the hot. Do this for about 15-30 minutes every night and see what happens. Don't tear anything for awhile.
Alawadhi
http://www.gripfaq.com/Forearm_Strength_Ex...s/#CONTRASTBATH and don't forgret to apply "deepheat" spray on it before sleep.

It hurts on the top, by the biggest knuckle. No discoloration or swelling...but it bothers me all day pretty much. I'm gonna wait it out and see if it goes away, as I've felt this pain before and it was short....so hopefully this will be too. I'll be taking a break until it feels better...I can kinda do crushes on my grippers, but I'd be stupid to work through this. I can't lever (hurts my finger REAL bad), and I can't pinch either...so I'll have to chill for a while.

Sounds like you have experienced this injury b4,so just go by your gut feeling.injury status can usually be determined by the injured..if injured enough times

sideburns
Hey guys...I think it might be worse than first expected... There has become some discolorating (red spot) on my index finger....and sometimes it hurts in my middle finger too. I have a job where I need to pick things up a lot (stock produce at a grocery store), so I can't really not use my hand....what should I do? I would see a hand surgeon with a good reputation, for his opinion.... an M.D. that specializes in the wrist or elbow down to your fingers.good to go for piece of mind to know how to care for injury before it gets worse.if damage to ligament, etc. possibly could be time sensitive.rom, pain level etc. indicates type of injury.could just be sore.but check it out to be sure. i see Charles P. Melone Jr. in N.Y., one of the best in the U.S. Going to a regular orthopedist is sometimes not the best route.
