unseenbeat
It compares to six 10's? Once the widths get this wide, I think fingertip strength makes a big difference. A while back I did five 10's with two fingers, but haven't yet lifted 55 pounds at six 10's width (gonna go out and do some negs like that tonight). I dunno how many people have lifted five 10's with one finger, and definetely few pwople have lifted six 10's so far on the board, but does any one have an idea? Sybersnott
What size are your hands? To me that might be the difference...
Chrisx9118
What is the width of your 5 10's put together?
Alawadhi
I think the first man to lift 5 10s with one finger is Richard Sorin. And I think he is the only one?

Bob Lipinski
I am about the hugest nutswinger in the world, but I would love to get Dave Thorton on some of this stuff.

Well see, that's what I was wondering about, I knew some other guys on here had looked strong enough to do some of these lifts, they just hadn't reported doing so. And Dave definitely has one of the strongest pinch grips on the board. And I was actually hoping Richard Sorin would post on this subject. 1stCoC
Hi! I caught the post. My recent best with 6 tens is a thumb and two fingers. My best with 5 tens with two fingers and thumb is the 5 plates plus 14lb of addon magnetic plates, My best with 5 tens with one finger and thumb was done with the thumb and forefinger only ,thumb and middle finger only, and thumb and ring finger only. .............The "final" 5 tens try I made with my thumb and pinky was a "no go". There are pictures of all these feats on our grip wall at Sorinex,in the previous issue of Milo,in the grip boards photo gallery, and on the Sorinex web site.RS

1stCoC
I did 6 tens using my whole hand with an additional 1.25lb add on plate several years ago within 2 weeks of first ever trying the multiple 10 lb. lifts. The one finger lifts and the two finger and thumb 6 tens came about the same time within this past year. I think I "peak" pretty quickly and as a rule I have done my best marks within a short period of training. I think switching exercises or feats often have kept me from burning out or having overstress injuries. (Think of trying to run a powerful race engine hard every day and not switch gears and you will grasp my training logic) .

I hear you on that one, I have found the same to be true for me in many respects. Usually I just change an aspect of the lift, however.
