Mikael Siversson
Current World Euro-pinch-set-up ranking (12 month rolling). Only calibrated weights included. Remarkable to see Chris Rice in the top 10. In total there are 50 competitors for this period. A 200lbs lift is still enough to be in the top 10. Eight of the top 10 are from the USA! Perhaps we could have this pinned. 1. David Horne, England 107.2k CC 20052. Dave Thorton, USA 103.1k GGC 20062. Chad Woodall, USA 103.1k GGC 20064. Martin Arildsson, Sweden 102.3k LGC XV 20065. David Horne
Mikael, Once again thanks for all the efforts you put into these strict Top 50s. A yearly Top 20-50 grip competitors would be great, like tennis, snooker, golf, etc. Maybe from the top 'grand prix' style events. Just a thought, David

Mikael Siversson
hey Mikael,do the pinches have to be at grip contests or can they be on video with a witness to challenge the top 50? how do u make the euro set up?.is it easier or harder than using 2 45lb plates? thanks, burner The pinch results have to be made in authorised competitions (e.g., not in the basement against family members etc.). All weights used have to be calibrated using a certified scale of acceptable resolution. Alternatively the organiser can use certified competition plates (like the Germans did at the 2006 Euro). The lift has to be done according to the rules set up by me, David Horne and the Diesel Crew. All this is of course to make sure that a nominal 108k actually represents 108k and not 106 or 111 or whatever. My nominal 20k weights for example varies between 19.2-21.3k. The Euro set up can be purchased from David Horne. Expensive but at least it allows for meaningful comparisons. The Euro set up if fairly similar in difficulty to many 45lbs or 20k plates. bencrush
What did I miss? Where's David's name on the list? A joke?
amaury
Ben: let's forget about these lists. They really are Mikael's lists and nothing more. I think it is time to build new ones based on what the Grip Community wants (and Grip Community = Gripboard ). I think you, David, Nick and many more would have the credibility required to maintain such lists. As for me i don't, but i am still a grip enthusiast 5 years after i started, and would dearly like to see these lists with all the records and names like David Horne on them. Cheers, Amaury
climber511
That's the 12 months rolling list - perhaps it's been that long since David did the lift in a competition? I don't know that but it would account for it. The all time list is a different list.
amaury
You must be right. I hope you are right.
climber511
You must be right. I hope you are right. It says 2005 after David's name - that would be off the 12 month list now. He'll be back after his next contest that has this event I'm sure.
The Mac
Guys. please read the list and it's title, and even the other posts in this thread, before going off on one.
Hubgeezer
It has been over a year for many notables. Mikael's name is dropped, as I believe it has been over 1 year since the Australian Grip Championships. Also, since the Supermatch was not officially calibrated, those numbers are also missing for Steve and Theo. So Geezer East climbs to #5?? Literally, what the hell is the world coming to... climber511
Attrition is my plan - if I can't out lift them - maybe I can outlast them!
Mikael Siversson
That reply makes you look like a fool, does it not. Mikael Siversson
No Ben it is not a joke. It was about 14 months since he last competed. It would perhaps been better to ask me in a pm rather than thinking out loud. What did I miss? Where's David's name on the list? A joke? But remember, not everyone on the board is attacking you when they ask you a question. I'll continue to think out loud, but thanks for the invitation to PM you... Cheers, Amaury Once again a personal attack. His suggestions is one which has been discussed REGARDLESS OF THE CONCEPT OF A ROLLING 12 MONTHS - that it would be easier to create new lists than get you to change your mind. It would also prove what I said - members would accept it and so would the mods.
