I would get a hammer that gives you a bit of trouble or you're just going to wish you had a heavier one. You can always choke up on the handle.

We do your stuff nearly as well as you do, you can't do ours very well at all, and we do everything that we both don't do much better than you can. Not very humble, I know, but true. -Coach Glassman

"When you dry, what do you do?"

What?

I would reccommend lever, Ox is right, go heavy and choke up on the handle.

I had tremendous success with bends just beyond my limit.

That means in every workout I continued to attack a nail which I failed on last time.

Those workout were hard, mainly isometrics and lasted from 60-90 minutes, but they worked great.

chest crushing grippers

ive tried those, but i screwed up my left wrist. does that mean my form is wrong or anything? cause the gripper handle applies hella force to the hand/wrist.

It means when you have no metal, nails bolts, etc. :)

Levering with sledge hammers and chest crushes on gripppers is probably the next best thing to do, then.

Aha!

The stronger your wrists and forearms are, the more stable your grip on the nail and the more force you can apply through your upper body.

So all forearm and wrist work will be helpful.
