Jeff Parker Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Just got my FBBC 2 handed economy pinch, thanks John, its great. Quality craftsmenship. My question is to those that have used the 2 hander from FBBC and have used the euro pinch. Whats an approximate comparison to the 2? I am hoping it is eaiser with the euro pinch. Today I maxed out at 97lbs on the FBBC. This was after a crush workout. I have maxed out at 143lbs using 2 45's with a pipe through them and adding weight. For training purposes I like the 2 hander better than just some 45's. Doesnt bite into my thumb webbing and is really easy to adjust weights. Quote
John Beatty Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Jeff- Glad you like it. I don't think you'll get a lot of feedback, it's a pretty new product & you're only the 3rd guy to buy one. Good luck, though- John Quote I like heavy things.
Bob Lipinski Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Jeff- Bring it to the Michigan grip contest if you come. I'd like to see it! I'd say the Euro grip is more comparable to 2 45's than what you are describing. Of course, once you really get chalk ingrained in the plates, it makes a big difference. I have gotten 150 in training with my Euro pinch, compared to 155 in the last michigan comp with plates, though I did a ton better in comp than I ever did in training. Quote US Handstrength
jad Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I won a 2HP block from John at BBB. The main difference I noticed in the block and euro style set up is that you can tilt the FB block like a champ whereas the 45's take a lot more wrist strength. I have no idea what my max is on the FB block so I don't know which is harder. I just use it after my thumbs are about to split on the 45's and I still want to get more work in. The highest I've ever done on it was like 125-130 but again this was done after my main workout on the 45's. It feels a lot slicker than the 45's but the tilt advantage is huge. It's a great tool and would probably be good for 2H plate curls as well. I also love how it's so sturdy it looks like it came off of a tank. Quote Proud member of the Feat Cheaters Club!
