Bob Lipinski
Good stuff. Heath is probably my favorite of all the big gripper closers. He should be on the #4 list!
Soilworker
Very nice. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
jad
Outstanding article! It's nice to hear from someone on Heath's level that the whole training till injury and then training through injury is just dumb. I've always thought that but there have been some times that I let my pride push me through some workouts because I wanted to be "tough" and ended up paying the price. Next time I'm being stupid I'll reread the advice from Heath.
Geo
Nice one Heath! Really good article. I never tried "cocking" the hand in the setting of a gripper. I picked up my HG200 just to practice it after reading the article and what a difference that little movement of the hand makes in the final part of the close. Going to try it tonight with my CC set attempts. Thanks!
bencrush
Great article Heath! Very good information there from one of the strongest gripper closers around.
Scott Styles
Heath, this is an excellent article. It is literally the best thing I've ever read on training to close a gripper. It should be required reading for everyone that wants to train grip, and will be the first thing I recommend to someone interested in grippers. Thanks for taking the time to write it. I can't wait to see what farmstrength.com has lined up next!
Mikulich
Great article. I will definitely begin to focus more on my wrists while working on grippers!

Bill Piche
Heath is one of the best crushers in the world, period. Great article! When he first burst on the scene, Steve Weiner and I thought he was a troll! No one could be that strong so quickly on the grippers. Needless to say, we were dead wrong. Another thing that should be passed along. Heath WELCOMED the scrutiny when we questioned his ability. No whining. No boo hoo hoo. No moaning. No whining (oops said that already, you get the point). He just stepped up and put the proof in the pudding!
MIKE HALEY RILEY CLOE
Great article Heath! As most have already said----this should be REQUIRED reading for gripper training. Mike
Roark
Heath is the real deal. There is no higher compliment. He doesn't use hyperbole, or bait us with what he 'might be doing' wink-wink and other evasive nonsense. He doesn't fret about what level others have reached, he just keeps improving himself. As his strength has improved, his humility has not decreased; that's a rare bird.
3Crusher
What the hell does this guy know? He is just an forearmchair expert. Hey, guys, read this stuff, then read it again. The guy speaks from experience, and here is the important thing-he realizes that everybody's training requirements will be different. My hat is off to Heath, as he has really earned what he has gained.
gamidon
That was a really good article. I do not cock my wrist like it says in the article to do so I need to experiment with this. I am hopeful I will see some improvement from doing this. This is a great article thank you for writing it, hosting it, etc. I went through the farmstrength pages and searched through the articles, I can't wait to see the blob for dummies article by Doc (hint hint)
Bearcat 74
Wow guys, thanks! I wrote this with some prodding from Doc for a gripper article. I was very hesitant because I am not much of a writer, never will be. Also, there are other people who have closed bigger and are just as, if not more knowledgable. The set explanation was requested, hopefully it is legible. Hopefully my 4 or 5 page babble will help someone out. Bill, those were the days, back when I was a troll! Scott Styles
I was very hesitant because I am not much of a writer, never will be. Yeah, you're about as good at writing as you are at closing grippers. Doc, get this man behind the keyboard again. We want more secrets!!!
