John Beatty
Got it ready, if anyone can think of rules I need & aren't there, let me know. I'm going to work on a top 50 on the Crushers next. Then a BOMB list Edited December 15, 2005 by John Beatty
DuTCH
Nice! Gotta get me one! One thing, you sell from 1 to 3".... Would that make a separate cert for each thickness? Or is it specifically the standard 1" bar, because i couldn't find that.
Soilworker
Then a BOMB list ← Awesome. Those things are sweet.
EricMilfeld
Looks good, John! But I do think most would agree that a full lockout on v-bar is needlessly dangerous (instant callous remover). Most all comps are using a 2" from the floor rule.
handgripperman
Im buying a fbbc Vbar now Edited December 15, 2005 by handgripperman
deaner
Agreed on the full lockout. 2" rule works good. Stopping at the top is where is skin comes off.

bencrush
Sweet! I'll be buying one also. Shooting for a Top 50 spot.
supermagnamon
no vbars for me, but a top 50 on the Crushers and a BOMB list, sounds nice.

Did not just lose a little bit skin but a lot of it.
John Beatty
That's cool with me. I've not done a Vbar at a comp, so not aware of the rule. I do lockouts at home, but I have only gone to 200. 2" rule it is.
Left Side
John great stuff on the new v-bar and upcoming Grip 50. A question, what is BOMB?
handgripperman
Im not sure if the bomb is a good thing to cert with because there are so many places to grab it. on the top or by the hole you load it with. if you grab it on the top you will pull less. but if you grab it by the hook you will pull 2X more. but having top 50 crushers sounds great Edited December 15, 2005 by handgripperman
John Beatty
The Bomb is a 8lb, 12lb, 16, or 20lb shotput tapped & with an eye bolt attached. Pretty much like the softball, but all iron. For the certs, I figure we'll not allow fingertips to be past the center line on the bottom of the Bomb, meaning the farthest under you can grip it will be middle finger touching the eye bolt. Jeff Parker
very cool idea John, and I think it will be good for business 2!
John Beatty
It's certainly upping the Vbar sales....lol. I usually sell maybe 2-4 per month, 5 this week. Don't know if it's the certs or just Christmas, as everything is going like crazy right now. This is good as FBBC sales are financing a good bit of STRONG! magazine. Jeff Parker
I wil be ordering your 2 hand economy pinch with some christmas money I get, any chance there will be a pinch list to? Having certs or top 50 lists are a great way for motivation. Having a personal goal of lifting a certain weight on a v-bar or other apparatus is good, but those goals tend to be forgot about eaiser than when you are gunning to move up the list or get a new cert. Keep up the great job!

John Beatty
I wil be ordering your 2 hand economy pinch with some christmas money I get, any chance there will be a pinch list to? ← I'll probably start lists on everything as time goes by, do a few every few months. Don't see why not, It's a great motivator & I certainly will be motivated by lists. I mean, I should be on every list, right? I make the stuff! ← Doing it with the finger slid up against the bolt is probably the most accurate way I can think of since moving your hand even a 1/2" forward can jump your numbers up a lot more. ← I think that'll be the only way to make it a uniform lift. Maybe I'll slap out the Bomb list tonight.
