Eagle Loop Dls

But I worked up to 455, which is 45 lbs. less than my best. I don't know why I stopped them. They feel like they make you strong all over, comparable to regular DL's. Just more weight, a little less ROM, and lots of fingertip work. Anybody else still do these???

These seem great, but I've only done them a couple times & it's tough to fit them in my routine especially because it's like partials Deadlifts which are big weight & interfere with my other lifts. I saw a photo of Rick Walker Eagle Loop DL'ing 700 on the Diesel Crew website.

Yeah, it's the only lift (other than rack DL's) that I've hit 500 on. The most I've ever done on a regular DL is 455. I've also done a 705 DL lockout (about one or two inches). I quit doing those because I ran out of weight to use, and the bar might have broken if more was added anyway. I actually had to tie 100 lbs. in standard weights to each side of my olympic bar. It's a cheap bar, so there was a lot of bend to it. It was 305 lbs. more than the supposed "test" strength.

700 would be great. That's one strong guy.

Anyways, eagle loop stuff sure is fun.
