Justin Reagan
It felt like a timber tie. And this is the day after a big grip/wrist workout. There's a guy that works in my department at Lowe's, and I bent some 30d's and G2's for him a while back. His wife was there to pick him up, and he and I were talking about my hobby. These two people really seem interested in this stuff. I was showing him my goal bend (IM red), and I just happened to have a 60d and some leather in my pocket (lots of people have been asking about it). They wanted to see what a 60d nail actually looked like (I had talked about the nails I've bent). I wasn't planning on bending it. But I just had to. I first bent a G2 I had in my pocket, just to see if I felt like it. Then I went for it. 5 or 10 seconds. Like butter. She then surprised me. She said "I'd like to try that sometime." Of course, then she said "But I really don't want to have forearms like that." (I only have 13" or 13.5" forearms???) One more interesting thing. They said they have put all that bent stuff I gave them on their Christmas tree as ornaments. I even gave them a bent 16d to top it off. It was great. Also, I now have one of the managers wanting to see me bend one. This is fun stuff. Later, Justin Reagan
Number Ten Ox
This post is even more motivating than walking down the nails aisle @ work (Home Depot). Which big box store has the strongest bender? I feel a contest coming on... Must admit that Lowes is winning so far but when I really get into this, watch out! Seriously though nice job. smp76
Bending for an audience is always fun, I have a fish bowl of the stuff I have bent this year on my desk at school. Great job, keep it up. -Sean
Justin Reagan
I just wish the 60d's felt that easy in my regular workouts. That would be great. A couple weeks ago, my dad tried one of those 60d's. Every once in a while I get him to try something. Usually his attitude is "It's great for you, but not for me," but every once in a while, he just gets in the mood where he wants to try something. He kinked it pretty good--almost as much as I kinked that G5 a week or two ago. His hands just naturally get into position to bend with a reverse style. He says it feels completely normal that way. Of course he didn't have any trouble with a yellow the first time he ever tried it, but the 60d gave him trouble. Justin Reagan
PennyNailMan
Hey guys, I'm the guy the Justin bent for at lowe's! I thought this was the weirdest hobby ever...until I tried it. I gotta admit there is something really awesome about this whole bending thing. Even when I failed miserably, it still made me want it more! Anyway, thanks Justin! Later guys. Welcome to the addiction now you are going to get strung out on steel but don't worry this is like a big support group here. GATOR

Justin Reagan
Taylor didn't fail miserably. The first time he tried it (before I bent a 60d for him), he didn't even kink a 30d or a 6" G2. The second time he tried (a few weeks later, I believe), he completely bent the G2 (not a bad first bend) and put a noticeable wobble in a 60d. More motivation, I guess. great stuff. FatBoy
Justin. I tried to put some of my bent blues on the X-mas tree and my wife flipped her lid. So I bent her a couple of hooks out of white nails and she gave into me and let me hang a few ornaments with them. I thought it would be easy to bend whites into hooks, but it was really hard.
