Blackheart
Hail guys May i ask which gripper is directly above the IM #2 in terms of difficulty? (from any company of course, not only Ironmind).
big bri
the only gripper i can think of between the #2 and #3 is the Beefbuilder Super Master. you can find them at www.wwfitness.com
Wayne
any BB super master i have tried is pretty much dead in between a #2 and #3.
supermagnamon
any BB super master i have tried is pretty much dead in between a #2 and #3. ← i agree. the BBSM is a great in betweener to go from the #2 to the #3.
Soilworker
Depending on which HG300, it might be that. The Super Master is a gripper that everyone should own. If I could keep only one gripper that would be it.
Blackheart
Ok, i gonna buy it sooon, very soon, but also like the HG 300 but i belive between them the super master is far more difficult
Left Side
The HG's vary significantly, but on average you will find the HG 300 to be a fair bit harder than the SuperMaster.

Wayne
The RB 210, RB240 and RB260 are between the #2 and #3 ← there are rb260's that are harder than #3's, i wouldn't get that. Blackheart, my hg300 is like an easy #3 and i've heard of some that are like a hard #2, deffinately go with the super master.
king crusher
the supermaster says 200lbs? you would think it would be close to a 2? grand master seems closer at 230? or no?

Soilworker
the supermaster says 200lbs? you would think it would be close to a 2?grand master seems closer at 230? or no? ← I think I already told this story but when I first started that's what I did and I got a Grand Master for an inbetweener and it turned out to be basically a #3, much to my surprise. Blackheart
SSSSSSShit, i just ordered a grand master..., i didn't order the super mster because i know that im #2 is 195 lbs and at the site of weightlifters the super master is concidered to be 200 lbs and the grand master 230 lbs. Everyone knows that grippers vary, but wire size can at least give you a clue on if they are similar in strength. The GM and #3 have the same size wire size so you would expec them to have similar strengths. You might get lucky with your GM. The one I have is actually no tougher than the SM that I have ... again grippers vary.
Jim Tinney
This is timely - I've been doing KTA with the #2 as a goal - I am only into week three, but I am already consistently nailing the #2 right handed. I am hoping to finish the cycle and have it dominated with both hands. I currently have the #1, #2, and #3 from Ironmind. Will probably pick up the #4 just for fun. After that, I wanted to get a 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 gripper to work on my next training cycle, so it looks like I'll want the Super Master and the Elite, right? Matt Van Weele
I talked with Warren Tetting today and he mentioned he is going to make some new strengths. He has a basic handle setting but now hes going to make for example what he calls a master + that will be set deeper than a average master and will give you a gripper inbetween the #2 and SM. So kind of like a 2.25 strength. So instead of having one gripper between the 2 and 3 you'll have 3 of them (master +, SM and the SM +) to work with. I think this option will be available on all grippers that he makes.
Hubgeezer
If you were to consider a RB, I would say the 210Narrow. It would probably end up being 2.2 to 2.5. All the other RBs would be too close to the 3 or too close to the 2. Hubgeezer
Michael86
Jim.You will probly want the super elite if u want a real 3.5.At least mine is.

Blackheart
i just wanted a tougher gripper than the 2 to do heavy negatives, my goal gripeer is the 2 and i am pretty close ...
Michael86
If you want a true 2.5 and 3.5 then get a super master and super elite.pretty much everything on this forum backs that up.Super elites and elites will likely have more variance but the super elite is defiantly closer to the midway point between the #3 and #4. Jim Tinney
Sounds like the Super Master and Super Elite (for negatives) will be what I want when I finish working on the #2... still have Phase II in front of me though -starts monday - looks like a beast.
