ruffhans
had a welder firend of mine weld me up to rolling thunder type handles, they turned out to be pretty close to the rolling thunders I.M makes. i hung them on a chin bar and hung form them,...(one in each hand). could hang for 7 secs and i wiegh 247 lbs. so that means 123.5 lbs in one hand for 7 secs. is that anygood at all? Wayne
nice. i once hung for 45 seconds on my rolling thunder, but i only weight 180lb. i was also able to get my feet off the ground for a second with just my right hand but cannot deadlift 180 with the handle, so its different. why don't you hook up some weight to it and see how much you can lift instead of hanging. ruffhans
your going to laugh at this- but i only have 20lbs worth of wieghts in my house! so thats why i hang instead of pull. our apartment is rather small. everything i do doesnt involve wieghts. i lever with hammers. hang from thick bars. pinch with clamps and do tai chi and body wieght excersises. during the summer i will go out side and get some blocks and try those. ruffhans
well wieght is wieght. if i get around to it someday i was going to make a website about grip strength and myself. i was going to gear it for the beginer. if i do, i am going to have a page on it called, "feed your grip not your mind" it is going to talk about cheap grip tools and how the we get the erge to buy expensive grip tools. not that there is anything wrong with this. but, our hands dont know the diferince. only what works. i was going to talk about how fancy machines and tools only feed the mental part of us and not realy the grip. but yes when you need more wieght you need more wieght!
