ruffhans Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 i knew i was forgeting to ask (?) in my last post,..so im sorry for two posts in one day. i have been using the balls for about two years and love them. not only do they relax me by hitting preasure points in my hand but they give great strength to the hands. i use both small and big ones. i came across a website, ( i will find it and post it sometime this week) that talked about old men in china who meet every day to show off thay'r tricks they can do with the balls. theese men are not into the strength part of it as much as the health and challenge. anyway this site said there where men in china that could move the balls around in they'r hand without moving thay'r fingers! just using the palm muscles. it also mentoined the three ball upside down thing that brookfield talks about. i messed around with mine last night and tried moving them with out fingers if you practice enough and consontrate i can see where one could eventualy do it. anyway here is my (?) i want to make some bigger balls like brookfield talks about,,,,you know the 6 lb shot? but he said if you dont buy the shots you could make them with cement or concreet. welli found them online for 9 bucks a shot for 6 lbs. i know that is not to bad but i still am going to make my own with fast dry morter mix in a bag. so here is my (?) what do you guys think i could use for a mold? i have been racking my brain all night trying to think. it needs to be round and know bigger than a soft ball i would say................any tips would help Quote
Left Side Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 You could make a paper mache mould around a softball and then use that. Or cut a hole in a tennis ball, fill it, set it, and then cut away the ball. Why are you sorry for 2 posts in a day? It's a good question. Quote
porky Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 head to walmart or some other store, go into the kids section and look for a ball the size you want. cut a slice in it and filler up. and then cut away. ive never made a ball or antyhing, just an idea. Quote

Muscle Turtle Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 I have used 8 lb shot puts which were great for my fingers, I use pool heavy q balls (pool ball) because they are slippery and they force my thumb to grab on hard and move it around, works great for me. To get blood moving, I have tennis balls covered with balloon so that when they touch they stick so you ahve to keep them apart, they work great for recovery for me... anson Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Go to Wal-Mart and get the oversized baseball bat($2), it comes with an oversized hollow plastic ball (the Husky Hitter), perfect for filling with lead shot. It'll weigh about 6lb, cover it with duct tape. But most will want to start with lead shot filled tennis balls and work up from there. Don't forget to duct tape em to make them harder! Lead shot will run you about $1/pound, get #9 shot or the smallest shot you can find. Quote
