oso
Not too long ago, I ordered the T,1,2, and 3 COC grippers and started training on them. On my left hand, right below my knuckle (not the finger end, the part closer to the wrist) I have a bad pain. When I grip something, I can always feel it, I've rested for a week and still hurts. Anyone know what's wrong? Should I see a doctor about it?
unseenbeat
Any kind of odd pain should probably be reported to a doctor. It might not be related to the grippers, try to think back to what u were doing a week ago.
Left Side
Ask your doctor about it, if he can't help you, take a break until it goes away. I had a pain like that on the back of my fifth metacarpal and it was over a month before I could return to gripping.
Blackheart
..training with heavy grippers can be compared to training on a heavy training routine...It is similar to what is written in the Ironmind Page about it's Grippers. In my Opinion proper use and not abuse, will make you gains and not pains.Go immediately see a doctor. And i am sure it won't be anything.Just use your grippers, don't abuse them!! Wayne
when i started the grippers i had elbow and wrist pain for a while. my right elbow was bad at one point, whenever i released a gripper a real sharp pain rushed though it. my left wrist at one point just ached all the time, this was the wrist i had surgery on before. i think this was not a serious injury but i just had to strengthen the muscles because i just worked through the pain and continued to squeeze my grippers every day, and it eventually just went away by itself and has not returned. Clay Edgin
Put down the grippers, check out handhealth.com for extensor and dexterity exercises, use them daily, and rest.
Jimmy74
Oso, I don;t know if this is much use to you but i had used rubber bands and did finger extensions. i found that greatly relieved pain in my hands, elbows and wrists from overuse a while back. when i started the grippers i had elbow and wrist pain for a while. my right elbow was bad at one point, whenever i released a gripper a real sharp pain rushed though it. my left wrist at one point just ached all the time, this was the wrist i had surgery on before. i think this was not a serious injury but i just had to strengthen the muscles because i just worked through the pain and continued to squeeze my grippers every day, and it eventually just went away by itself and has not returned. ←
oso
All right, thanks everyone that helps. Mainly I've been doing just negatives and overcrushes with em. I'll try the exercises on handhealth.com and finger extensions for a while, and if the pain doesn't go, guess I'll have to get to that doctor. lol

Scott Styles
I would lay off the grippers and do daily contrast baths, as described here: http://www.gripfaq.com/Forearm_Strength_Ex...s/#CONTRASTBATH Performing finger extensions once the hands feel better would also be a good idea.
