Certed On The Red Nail

Dude

Recommended Posts

Certed on the red yesterday. I tried going for both the red and #3 but my hands didn't agree. I did it outside and it was a bit chilly on the hands but can't really make excuses because it didnt get closed. My first attempt on the #3 wasn't right because my other hand was in the way, then my 2nd attempt (the one on the vid) my hand was shot. Nails went good though so I'm happy about that, did them back to back to back.

Just wanted to thank everyone thats helped me, definately would not have been able to bend it on my own. I hope to be goin back soon to cert the #3, because everytime I watch the video I get mad that I didn't get that last bit, lol.

Congratulations, Ron! I knew you'd kill the Red is short order. And to come that close on a double cert is pretty darn impressive!

I need to figure out why I can't watch the video, though. SAAANDYYY... come here, I need help on the computer thingie again!!!

Would that have been the first Red and #3 cert done together?

It didn't quite happen but now it has me wondering.

Congratulations on the cert and the 'double'effort.

Congratulations on your cert! On your cert bend, were you allowed to use rubber bands around the Ironmind cloths? The reason I ask, is that this may morph into another rule change. From personal experience, the first time I went for a cert on the red, it took me 10 minutes to bend it. Dr. Strossen felt that this was too long a time period, and said that he felt that he thought a minute would be a more appropriate time period. His reason, and I thought it was a good one is that he felt that a feat of strength should be performed in a suitable period of time that would not bore an audience. It made alot of sense to me. My cert was no good, and I had to re-cert in a sub one minute time period. I was happy to abide by the new rules, and actually certed in front of Dr. Strossen himself. Things change as time goes by with the certification processes. Example-the credit card set with the grippers. Anyway, I look forward to seeing you in MILO.

Congratulations Dude!

You have arrived and took your rightful place among the elite benders and by the sound of it you will soon become an official Captain of Crush #3. I applaud your effort and achievement my friend- onward and upwards. :rock

Congradulations. It was mentioned that we'd see you in milo? Do they do a write up or something, if so thats cool. I'm surprised they allow the rubber bands and contact with the body. Guess I gotta re-read them rules. I'll be joining you on that roster soon. Awesome job.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yea I used rubber bands to hold the wraps on. Are they allowed to be used? If IM doesnt allow them to be used I'll have to do it again. I think the chalk grabs the hands much more than the rubber bands.

Was I touching to much during the bend, like bodywise? Also didnt know about the rubber bands. Are there any more specific rules besides those few on the site?

The bends looked great, no illegal bracing there. I can tell you that rubber bands on any kind of wrap do nothing as far as advantages go, just a convenience thing. Congrats :rock
