Coc Wear And Tear

I've only had my CoCs a short time so this question isn't really based on anything I have experienced so far.

I was just curious if people had noticed a wear and tear effect on their grippers. Do they get weaker after you have been training on them a year or two? I know someone in another thread actually broke his after a few years of training, up to that point, does the resistance remain the same?

Thanks

They don't get progressively easier as time goes on, but there is a break in period. When I buy a new gripper I will lock it into this thingy on the floor and close it by stepping on it. I'll do this a coupe of time s a day for maybe a week. That breaks it is and "seasons" the gripper.

I broke my #1 recently, it was not noticably easier the few reps (singles, strap holds & OC) before it went bang!

Wow, did you notify IronMind about this? How long have you had the gripper before it broke? :mellow

On my #2 and #3, the knurling is wearing away pretty fast where my fingers go. Pretty annoying.

Yea I hate that, my #2 and #3 are rubbed raw so they're pretty slick compared to my rarely used #1 which is still really sharp.

Snott,

I didn't notify IM, see the diclaimer on the packet.

I've had it about 3 years, but I did use it for repping for the most part to start with, then got serious, got KTA, got it filed, got it busted!
