Starkmann
I've seen several topics, especially things in the FAQ, talking abut how much people wish they knew then what they know now. Also about how newbies don't listen. I think I have figured out why that is. We don't know much about grip. More important we have no idea what we don't know. It seems that grip is like many other things, the more you know the more you realize you know nothing. Many of us noobs get over zealous to try and do the amazing things (tear pack of cards, rip a phone book in half). A lot of the time we have no idea what we are getting ourselves into. I have to admit I was kinda starting to think I was a bad man until I actually tried my brand new grippers and was thoughrly defeated by them. I have to bring myself into my lifting mindset now. "This is a long painful road and I will psend the rest of my life walking it." Many thanks to the gripboard, you guys are true masters of your art, it is my honor to study under you. Left Side
Very well said, I second that. It is a priviledge to be able to converse with not only the strongest, but also the nicest people on earth.
j.scribner
I agree. Most of the members I've met and worked out with from the Board are some of the nicest and most humble guys I've ever met. And they have been kind enough to take an old guy like me in under their wings and teach me a whole bunch of stuff. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of you at the GGC this weekend, and seeing some impressive feats of grip strength. Welcome to the real world of strength, Starkmann, train hard, and maybe this oldster will see you around sometime! John Scribner
