Mr. Sorin's See/saw

HAMMERHEAD

Recommended Posts

I strained my elbows during the last couple of behing the neck bend attempts earlier this week. No biggie, as long as I remember to let 'em heal.

Anyways, I figured I'd do a grip workout today that would still let the elbows heal so I decided to work the blocks. It started pretty lame and then I realized I had some wood planks that I use for nail drivin' that would work great for the see/saw deload system Mr. Sorin has told us about. So I placed the plank on top on a thick dumbell handle, then I put a 25lb plate at one end and the Blob on the other. Oh yea! I had a hell of a pinch workout today. Thumbs are blasted. I even figured out another excersize with this type of deloading, but It would be a pain in the ass to describe it without pictures.

Give it a whirl. It's very easy to adjust the resistance level by just moving the pivot point.

Thanks Mr. Sorin!

I remembered reading the see saw idea a couple different times and I couldn't remember who the other member was who suggested it. After doing a search I found that Rob Vigeant has suggested this see saw idea in the past. So, I gotta extend my thanks to him as well.

If it wasn't for nail driving I wouldn't have wood in my workout area and would probably never tried this. Thanks again guys. My thumbs are blasted and sore already.

The GripBoard is a wealth of information.

Thanks for reminding me of this one, Erik. I've been needing some way to work my way into regularly pulling the Blob.
