kelby
i was using a wrist roller 2 inches in diameter. then i started using a wrist roller 3/4 inches in diameter. i find it the skinny wrist roller better for my wrist and gripping. because you have to really tighten your hands to roll it up. and makes for a better pump, plus you are fully exerecising your wrist. what is you opinion. Dave H
I agree. I have rolled with the thick rollers and the thin rollers and I like the 3/4 - 1 inch roller much better. I think the thick-bar concept for the Wrist-rollers is over-rated. Sixgun...
OldGuy
I have long been of the opinion that thinner diameter wristrollers are harder than the thick ones. I use an 1 1/4'' myself none knurled. I think that people mistakenly believe, that as is the case with thickbar, thicker is tougher.
Revtor
thicker roller moves the weight up further per revolution so you are doing more work per revolution. But the thinner roller may be harder to grip so there is a tradeoff.. Maybe the best is to make a thivk and a thin and alternate between both. ~Steve
OldGuy
I have tried both thick and thin. No theorizing or maths on my part just hands on experience.
Tom of Iowa2
I have used several sizes of wrist rollers. The smaller wrist roller is MUCH harder..........haveing said that(at least for my hand length of 7 3/4") when I start going up well over 2 inches 'wrist rolling' gets difficult also. In other words a wrist roller right at 2 inches is the 'easiest'way for me to move a LOT of weight. Less diameter on the roller becomes tougher(1 1/4" being the toughest)and with wrist rollers of diameters LARGER than 2 inches it becomes tougher for me. 3 inches is very difficult(for me) to hold on to.
