I tried these today after reading a lot lately about inverted closes. Worked up to closing an HG250 with an inverted table no set close. What can you guys and gals do? I worked a partial day in Work Release and not a single construction worker managed to even close my #1 with this method. Only 1 closed my Trainer like this. Seems to be about the most awkward method I've tried yet. Good times.

I actually prefer to train my left hand inverted because of the way it is wound. That last little bit causes the gripper to spin in my hand. I just got into no sets a couple weeks ago. I would like to do #2 in each hand, right regular and left inverted.

Now if you think that is weird when I started grip at the beginning of the year I trained KTA right hand and hub and pinch left. I got stale on both of those and went on a bending craze.

Now that I can do a little of everything I'm trying to even things out.

I'm doing alot of two and three finger closes with easier grippers and no sets in hopes that it will help my bending. I believe the grip is still the weak link for my bending.

No sets are really difficult for me, the gripper slides way back against my thunb pad. Some times I luck out and it doesn't. My right hand is around 7 3/8" if it is measured palm down. That line at my wrist crosses at an angle so it's real hard to measure. Palm up it measures 7 1/4".

Closed the Ironmind #3 on video and in training a bunch of times. I just recently (last week) bought a brand new one and it is VERY stiff. I can close it only three times using the no set method. When it breaks in a little I will be asking for certification.

Right hand only, but I can invert the #1.

I train everything with no set (hands are big enough I can get away with that.)

Side note: the #1 is going down WAY faster than the Trainer did. I can already rep it after only a week (?!) of working with it. Glad the #2 arrived on friday.

Funnily enough i tried inverted grippers tonight, could close the #1 no-set and get close on an RB160. Its a strange feeling tho

I put myself down for a #1 but after trying these tonight my best was my SA which is closer to a #1 then a #2 couldn't quite get my M which let's me know it'll be a while before I can jam my filed #2 shut this way, tough exercise!!!! I don't know if setting the gripper would even help me with inverted closes. Now 2-3 finger inverted closes is another story a set is essential for me with these.

I only have a SuperGripper, but I can close it with around 70 kg no-set (a #1 is ~63.5 kg), so I chose #1. Mind you, I only use the SuperGripper "inverted". The other way around it's a lot tougher for me.

I tried it tonight and I suprisingly could close a harder #2 quite easiely.

Its more difficult for me to no-set close it in the classic style.

I guess its because the longer fingers grap now at the wider spreaded side of the gripper.

Nice work guys! :bow

Darco, did you close your HG250 inverted AND no set? Either way that's great with hands that size.
