Just got my BB Master and Super Master, just wondering how hard would you rate the SM is to the #2. The SM i just bought is quite a bit harder than my 2004 #2 is this usual even tho its only ment to be 5lbs more.

I got my BB SM about 4 months ago for just that very reason of being a good inbetween gripper and I'd say it's right on the mark. mine feels about 2.6-2.7ish

Itch, another variable with the SM grippers is the inside handle width. Let me explain. I've had a 2.5" SM, 2.75" SM, and one that was @ 3" SM. The 2.5" was about a 2.3 at most. The 2.75" SM (Cert SM) is probably a 2.6 or so. The @ 3" SM is definitely closer to the 2.8+ range. So in my experience, the narrower the SM, the easier it will feel at the close. It's a good reason to order many widths of the same strength Tetting grippers.

I found the SM that I have is definitely a 2.6, but that varies alot gripper to gripper. If you want in-betweeners those HG grippers are another option. Cheap, have a cheaty close sweep, but on the downside have faggy smooth handles.

Congrats on the Master close. And good luck with the credit card set and no set close of it as well.
