I just got one two weeks ago. They are easier than my hard #3 but harder than an average #3. The close is very tight.

Austin, I have had my GM for about a year, and it is harder than my 2004 #3 (I would guess it at a 3.1-3.2) . Nice and smooth, until the last 1/2 inch, then its time to kick into another gear. Mike

I also have one, and would have to agree with Mike Haley riley Cloe, though I would rate mine as a 3.2-3.4 , but I also do NOT have as much experience as others. Nice gripper but definintly harder.

I got mine last Christmas and it's substantially harder than my #3 and my HG300. My #3 is probably a 2.8-2.9, and my GM is at least a 3.2

I work-out with opnsysme's #3 and it is much harder than his filed #2 (his #2 is harder than my #2 -even prior to being filed). His GM is definately harder then his #3. I have seen opnsysme close the #3 occasionally and he still has some work to do on the GM. I'm only getting close to being close on the #3.

My Grandmaster is 4 months old. I have only touched 5 #3's, and it was easier than all of them, except one that was "an easy 3", according to Clay. Comparing it to the 2004 #3 I got 3 months ago, I would call my GM a 2.8.

I got my Cert GM (2.75") about 3 months ago. It is harder than most average #3s that I've tried. Of course it was easier than the crazy hard #3 I sent you and James... but most grippers would be. The 2.5" GM that I had before the Cert GM was pretty easy, maybe a 2.7 or 2.8.

I bought a Grand Master about two weeks ago and the handle spread is approximately 2.5". It is much easier than the COC #3 which I bought in Feb. 2004 and has a handle spread of roughly 3". I also took calipers to measure the diameter of the springs and both came out to exactly 0.284" at the base of the springs near the handles.

Here is a picture illustrating the difference in spread:

Mikulich, I purchased the identical grippers as yours in roughly the same time frame(see my earlier post). I measured my grippers in the identical places from

where your measuring tape is placed on the grippers. The 2004 Captain of Crush

was EXACTLY the same spread as yours. My Grandmaster was around 3/16s" wider than yours. Hubgeezer

My BBGM is 2.75 and My 2004#3 is a hair under 3.00- I am assuming as Ben has also noticed that the wider BBGMs are harder- mine is way harder than the 2002 #3 I had, and as I said above harder than my 2004. Mike

I donot know what the fuss is about all you have to do is us my adjustable

gripper that modifies any gripper to max of an extra 30 pounds to

35 pounds extra weights so a super elite of 290 pounds would be

320 pounds. And grand master 230 pounds just any pounds from

5 pounds to 30 pounds max that is extra wieigth of 260 it is like

make your own elite BB.

Plus using adjustable gripper with strap hold your gripper will

soar threw the roof. And gain the grip strenght you never thought it was possible

to do.
