Rolling Thunder And Elbow Pain!

Hey guys,

I hope this hasn't been covered numerous times before but I have yet another rt question. Here is the situation--Everytime I workout with my rolling thunder I have major aches and pains where my bicep and forearm come together. Hold out your arm--palm facing up--and feel where the bottom of your bicep meets your forearm; that's where it hurts like crazy when I'm done. I typically grab the handle and TRY to do a straight arm deadlift motion with a violent shrug at the end. I usually go heavy (for me anyway) and do 2 or 3 reps for 5 or 6 sets. I also get this same kind of pain doing barbell power cleans, but it really hurts with the rt and to some extent with the grippers. Is this a technique problem? :D

I had the same problem, but unfortunatly the only thing that helped me was Motrin and time off from any arm or grip exercises that involved that area. Yes, even grip because off the overlap of muscles and the fact off your upper arm wil tighten to hold or steady your arm. I would massage it and rest, and ice for at least a week or two before you go at it again.

IMHO, forget doing reps on the RT. Forget doing sets on the RT.

Do some heavy singles and then give your arms time to rest up and heal. :happy
