Hand Recovery Before Comp

Recommended Posts

Posted

well, a few people have told me not to do any hand training about a week before a comp. I haven't done anything in the past few days except for some ball rotations no where near what i can do.

My hands still feel really weak and somewhat sore. What can i do to make sure they are ready for the contest on saturday? By ready, i mean able to perform at my level and not have any soreness the day of.

thanks guys.

Think back to a really great grip workout. What did you do prior to it? Do that again and you'll be fine. Changing your routine will only throw you off.

Dwell not upon your weariness, for your strength shall be according to the measure of your desire.

I did my last session today. Treat it like you would a strength or powerlifting meet.

Super Squats!! (by that I mean, in the general super hero way, not a specific exercise) or something to destroy your upper legs to the core, all that growth hormone wont hurt.

Increase protein and complex carbohydrates over the next few days to store more energy for the comp. since you won't have t make weight.

Continue light shot workouts.

Thinking about it some more I want all of my fellow competitors to train, train and train some more. Even the morning of the competition I want them up at dawn squatting :D
