Roark
Thanks to the research of David Horne, we know that Thomas Inch died on Dec 12, 1963. We do not yet know if Inch's wife survives, nor the names of his two daughters, nor when his brother George passed away, or whether his daughters are still living. Nor do we know the fate of his 75, 140, or 153 lb thick handled dumbells. Any member in England have any leads on any of the above missing pieces? Sybersnott
He was real secretive, especially when it came to his death.... so much so that he instructed his wife to tell the papers not to publish his obit. We had a real battle war on this forum as to when exactly he died; David Horne finally settled that by some top-notch research on his part. Roark
Sybersnott. Had never heard that take on it before- that Inch instructed his wife to keep his death private. I had thought that she took that upon herself; but perhaps you are right. Something tells me with his ego, and his genuine contributions to the game, he would have a memorial service, but, maybe not. And to think that his whole hand strength saga started when he was a teenager and was jilted by a comely lass; he was moping, and his mother said to him, "Ah, get a grip!" Could have the last paragraph wrong...
