Tough luck Clay. Rest up and focus on crushing and it will be no problem.

Eh, this stuff happens. I have no excuse other than "I didn't squeeze hard enough!"

Hats off to you Clay. You were definitely strict on the set and that is to be commended for sure. You'll get it. Lay off that powerball! :)

You would have closed it if you didn't pause to show the set. The pause isn't required is it.

No, a pause is not necessary, but a clear set at parallel is. Not obscured by the hand(s) or arms.

Thanks guys. If I make a run at the MM3 again, I will actually pick up a gripper again to train and put down the nails! The MM3 is a good stout gripper - if I ever become a gripper whore again, I will definitely be buying replicas of all 3.

As for the pause, I have had problems in the past when doing gripper closes on video where I will set it and start squeezing before my off hand is out of the camera's view so it looks closed by the time I present it. I played around with doing the set-pause-close for a while and found that it doesn't really take a lot out of my strength to hold it for a second to present it to the camera and then give it a squeeze. In this case, pausing might have cost me the close but not pausing and closing it would have made for a questionable video. So I'd much rather fail in plain view than succeed by questionable means.
