Roark
Hermann Saxon, who with his brothers composed one of the several combinations of performers called 'The Saxon Trio', died December 2, 1961, forty years ago today. Arhtur had died in 1921, Kurt in 1952, so with Hermann's death, only sister Anna survived. The last photo ever taken of Hermann appears in Strength & Health, March 1962 p 21, with his obituary. Sybersnott
Wasn't there a fourth Saxon brother? His name escapes me.
Roark
Perhaps you are thinking of Arno Saxon who put together the initial Saxon Trio. Of course the three Saxon brothers were born with the name Hennig.
Roark
Sybersnott: My apologies. Although only three of the Saxon brothers ever worked as part of the Saxon Trio, there may have been another brother or maybe not. According to Strength & Health Oct 1951 p 19 Arthur Saxon was the third born of six children. The way the text is written, I assumed that there were three sisters, but frankly, I do not know the gender of the two other offspring.
