Guest StrongerthanArne
On my second attempt ever with my CoC #3 I was 5/16 from closing it. How much of a difference would it be if it had been closed let's say 50 times (i.e., seasoned) prior to my attempt. I will not bother force closing it if the difference would be in the order of 1/16 of an inch. Thank you in advance
bseedot
It's hard to say. Your handles will be closer together so you'll be able to get a better purchase on the #3. That, in itself, makes it worthwhile to me. I haven't fully seasoned my #3, but my Master handles narrowed by a full 5 millimeters. Of course, the Beef Builder series of grippers are much wider to begin with than the COC's (My master is still a seasoned 8.3cm). My COC #2 narrowed by 2mm. That doesn't mean that you'd be that much closer to closing it though. If it were me, I'd take 1/64th of an inch on the #3 if I could get it. BC.
