terryduty
Did I read this correctly? PDA is offering calibrated UNSEASONED grippers for sale??!! No offense, but what's the point in buying an unseasoned gripper if after I "season" it (by closing it 50-100 times) it now has a different strength and I then no longer know what that closing strength is (other than it is weaker than it used to be)??? I mean, I can buy a 300 in-lb gripper, season it and now know (strongly suspect) that, guess what, my gripper is no longer a 300 in-lb gripper! It's now a 2?? in-lb gripper! IMHO it only makes sense to buy seasoned precalibrated grippers. Can someone help me with my confusion, please. Thanx!
Guest Russell Latterman
Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't pay for a calibrated gripper unless it was seasoned first.
Bill Piche
I believe they will offer it both ways.
Bill Piche
I just checked their site. The SOS grippers can now be ordered and you can get seasoned ones as well. I ordered two. One in the 460-470 range and another 490-500in-lbs. SOS Grippers
