Hub with Flaws?

Recommended Posts

I just purchased an IronMind hub, and I was disappointed to find sharp specks and flaws to the rim and what looks like welding splatter around the hub. I’ll have to file it before using to prevent shredding my hands.

Has anyone else received a hub like this? Did I just get the unlucky one?

I love IronMind’s history and I have several of their products. This is the first time one has arrived subpar.

That's wild. Did you tell them? I know you got that at our store. These arrive packaged so unless we unwrapped them all, there is no way to tell. I've personally never heard of this before.

Edit: I actually think they didn't deburr after the round pipe cutoff. That looks like it's from the saw cut and not welding. It's in the worst possible place for losing skin though.

Crap happens but that’s pure ignorance on multiple accounts.

They better let you keep that one and ship you out a new one at no cost.

I enjoy the other equipment I have from them. So I think it’s probably just an odd duck, anomaly type occurrence - especially if people haven’t see IM hubs like this.
