Why you shouldn't buy 50 lb increment grippers (heavy grips, grip genie, gripzilla, gorilla grips)

Yep, a terrific, really informative clip.

Buyer beware!

I have no issue with people buying say a (relatively cheap) set of these when they're starting out. . . .but that's all I think they should consider getting for these brand types as the quality just isn't there (based on the couple of HG grippers I bought years ago and was unhappy with).

Great info. I got a couple Grip Genies a while back and was surprised by their narrow diameter handles. Knurling is pretty nice. But like you said, not that wide either. I’d only had CoC prior to that. I just received a HG as a gift last fall and although marked 200 lb, it’s pretty easy to close. I doubt it’s anywhere near that. I also thought the sticker on bottom was a little cheap. Again, I was used to CoC that have the stamped markings. Nice video.

You might have received a knockoff. No Heavy Grips have ever had stickers.

I’ll check. They looked like stickers. Black with white writing on bottom of the handles.

That is likely laser printed. It appears white on aluminum no matter the anodized color. That would not be Heavy Grips for sure.
