I probably shouldn't have done this as I am still recovering from the competition on Saturday, but whatever...

Nice work!

If my memory serves me correct you came here about 2 months ago hoping 37 isn't too old for starting grip and your cleaning house!🤣

I loved me some barehanded bending when I first did grip training. I found it satisfying to feel the bar heat up and know it was just me vs the bar with no assistance. Similar to lifting completely raw with no belt. I at the time wanted to bend a grade 8 with no wrap to eventually work up to a red nail -got really close on the grade 8-  with no wrap but I think that would be dangerous but with the bolts it felt safer. I am going to stick to single wraps though for safety once I get my order from CPW but I hope to start bending again soon. I love the heslep style bend also I felt that style really hit the wrist/forearms the most with reverse being close behind.

That's intense man, i try to use only ironmind pads and a single if i can manage.  I'm currently working on getting past shiny 60ds, then on to grade 5s.  I like the pain, being on the edge of real danger...brutality and precision all in the same act...

Thanks for sharing, very motivating.

yeah these shiny 60ds are very hard. I can do 60dsprials with 1imp and maybe a dull 60d...... Barehanded i cant imagine but maybe in time.   I hope to tackle the shiny ones in the coming months. I can kink them but thats it.

Might give some 3/16 with no wraps a shot in the near future though.

I work for iHerb.com.  I manage an IT team there, definitely not manual labor...

In the past I've worked on farms, ranches, machine shops, drilling rigs, and other blue collar type jobs.  I worked enough of those to realize I needed to find work that preserved my body.  I work from home and train all day now. 🤘

New PR, but I won't be satisfied until I hit 80lbs

This is more like 340lb on a straight barbell. I don't know if the fat gripz make it harder, but my thumbpads are so big that it feels like the bar will injure my hands without them.

It's funny for two reasons; 1. the oil of course 2. you're casually TNSing a #3😅

Great oil-set close!👍

It’s a crude way to train, but people recommend that you grease the groove. I see you have refined your form.
